We are committed to creating the ultimate student sports broadcasting experience, with an emphasis daily improvement and memorable opportunities.
Important info:

Five days (July 8-12, 2024) of incredible sportscasting experiences including improving on-camera presence, reading a teleprompter, interviewing and photography, taught by current Emmy award-winning sports anchor/reporter Pat Doney from NBC 5 in Dallas.

Experience life as a TV sports reporter! Students will broadcast "on-air" each day, with experiences comparable to our 2023 camp which included on-site reports at Dallas Cowboys headquarters and Globe Life Field.

Interact with and learn from elite sportscasters, including broadcasters from NBC DFW, ESPN, the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks.

Other 2024 Camp Info:

The 2024 Pat Doney Sportscaster Camp is July 8-12th. Rookie camp tuition for the week is $1,045. Veteran camp tuition is $1,095, and is extremely limited.

The camp meets at TCU's Bob Schieffer College of Communication. Rookie camp is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Friday (no overnight lodging available), while Veteran camp is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Our 2023 camp sold out and we expect to sell out again this year -- so those interested in attending should sign up ASAP!

Refund policy: 90% before 4/8/24, 50% before 5/8/24 (refunds can take up to three weeks to process). No refunds will be given after 5/8/24.

Our "veteran" camp experience will include a team of returning students learning together and building upon previous camp experiences while getting additional training in editing, mobile journalism, and anchoring
